Jodi Quas, Ph.D., is Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Irvine. She is recognized across the globe for her work on children’s and adolescents’ memory, suggestibility, and victimization disclosure; and on the consequences of exposure to violence, exploitation, and legal involvement on youth. She has received numerous awards for her research, advocacy, and training, including the Early Career Contributions in Developmental Psychology from the American Psychological Association, and the Nicholas Hobbs Award for Career Contributions from the Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice. She is dedicated to pursuing rigorous science and disseminating findings to academic, policy, and public audiences.
She works closely with diverse groups, including policy makers, law enforcement, legal professionals, educators, and health and social service professionals so that, together, they provide much-needed evidence-based recommendations concerning how best to identify and intervene on behalf of youth exposed to maltreatment, exploitation, and trafficking, and youth immersed in legal cases in juvenile, family, and criminal courts as a result.
