Lauren Alessi

Lauren Alessi, MA, is the Associate Director of the Social Work Research Center at Colorado State University. She brings experience working with government, human service agencies, non-profits, and community-based organizations around issues of substance use, criminal justice, and child welfare. At SWRC, Lauren works on the Colorado Kinnected Kinship Navigator project, the Applied Research in Child Welfare research-practice partnership, and two anti-human trafficking projects. She manages the evaluation for the Denver Anti-Trafficking Alliance, a project working to build a cross-disciplinary response to trafficking in the Denver Metro area. Lauren also supports the Connecting Colorado program evaluation which is working with multidisciplinary teams in the anti-human trafficking field in Colorado.
