Maria Tell is a Fort Collins native and a graduate of The University of Colorado Denver with a bachelor’s in criminal justice. She is working on completing her master’s in criminal justice, continually supports undercover sex trafficking operations with The Department of Homeland Security and local law enforcement, and conducts trainings and presentations throughout the state of Colorado for various entities, organizations and professionals.
Maria is a survivor human trafficking, satanic ritual abuse (SRA) and commercial sexual exploitation (CSE). Maria also has personal lived experience regarding the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC), specifically familial trafficking. She felt compelled to join the anti-trafficking movement in 2021 after escaping her trafficker in 2020 and later founded A Courageous Rose in 2023, a faith-based, anti-trafficking organization that walks alongside trafficking victims and survivors, helping them to reclaim their power and rebuild their lives.
